Plymouth School Bus Routes

The 2016-17 school bus routes for the Plymouth Schools are listed under the school that your student will be attending. You can find bus routes here.

Parents should check the school district website for information about early dismissal days (for example: conferences and early release days). A list of Plymouth school hours can be found here.

NOTE: Bus schedules are subject to revisions that result from enrollment changes, transfers and address changes. Changes and / or additions will be posted to the school district’s website and residents are encouraged to frequently check the Plymouth website.

The time for each bus route is the approximate time the bus will make its first pickup in the morning. Adjustments will be made as necessary and as soon as possible. Students should be at their stops 5-10 minutes before the time listed on the bus route. The stop times can vary 5-10 minutes either way, depending on traffic, weather and the number of students riding the bus.

Please do not worry if a bus is late, especially at the start of a school year when it typically takes a few days for kindergarten children and new students to become accustomed to the bus routes and schedules. If, however, you have concerns about your bus being consistently late over a period of several days, please contact the Plymouth office at 860-585-0011.

It is important that students remember to stand at least 10 feet from the road and not move toward the bus until the bus driver nods his or her head signaling that it is safe to board the bus.

Inclement Weather

Snow days – Snow days – When Plymouth schools are not in session, no buses will be provided for out-of-district schools.

Delayed openings – If there is a delay in Plymouth due to inclement weather, all buses will be delayed for the announced increment of time set by school administrators. If there is no delay in Plymouth and your out-of-district school has a delay, your transportation will be delayed for the announced time set by your out-of-district school’s administration.

The following agreement has been established with the Plymouth superintendent of schools regarding out-of-district schools serviced by All-Star Transportation:

Should weather and road conditions prompt the superintendent to close or delay Plymouth schools, all buses scheduled for out of district schools will follow the established schedule for that particular day (2-hour delay or no transportation).

The superintendent’s decision is made with the safety of students in mind, and the bus company will abide by the call.

Bus Pick-Up / Drop-Off Procedure

Any individual seeking a change to a student’s pick-up and / or drop-off procedure must contact their student’s school office.

All Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be dropped-off at their assigned bus stops and must be met by a parent or an authorized adult / caregiver, or they will be returned to their home school. For Rotella and Maloney, students will be brought to the Plymouth Police Department.

All other students – grades 1 through 12 – do not require an adult present.

If a student is uncomfortable when getting off at his or her bus stop, that student also will be returned to school. It is advisable for parents to provide a note to the school if they want their student to be dropped off at their bus stop without an adult being present.

Bus Stop Waiver / Changes

In the event a change to a pick-up and drop-off schedule is needed during the school year, parents need to complete and submit a Transportation Change Request to the Board of Education. The request form can be found online by clicking here.
